I am currently setting up peersync to work with ingeniux and I have a simple question.

We have upwards of 50 ingeniux sites that we maintain, each with thier own publishing point. We are using peersync to push those pub point to our main server. I am running peersync as a service and using it to pusht he data from our admin server to our live server.

the question is this, is it better to just have all the websites that we are publishing in one peersync profile, or would it be better to break them up somehow? I was just worried that having too many directories to contend with (not including nested directories in each website) causing peer sync problems. is this a factor?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

NamantH,

Depending on the edition of PeerSync, performance or behavior may change as jobs increase. With the PeerSync Server Edition, the jobs will be run sequentially. This means that at some point 24 hours will only synchronize so many jobs. The High Volume Server Edition will allow X jobs to run simultaneously. This allows a much larger amount of processing in the same 24 hour period. In either Edition, it does not benefit to put jobs in different profiles - it is easier managed from the single profile. For optimal speed, please email support directly for details on determining speed.
