While doing functional performance testing today over the WAN with Windows 2008 R2, Peerlock 3.0, and AutoCAD 2009 our users at each of the two ends of the WAN were able to open and edit AutoCAD Xref files. I am refering to the AutoCAD Xref file not the drawing file. Strangly both Xref and drawing files have file extension DWG. Our testing did confirm that a lock happens when opening two drawing files though.
What would be the reason that an AutoCAD 2009 Xref file with file extension DWG does not lock but an AutoCAD drawing file with file extension DWG will lock? Thanks! |

Twoturntables,
Can you verify that the AutoCAD XREF file appears in the Windows Open Files folder? This is the location that is being monitored by PeerLock so the file must be opened through the network and appear in this share. -------------------- Peer Software, Inc.
