Problem/Symptoms:
EOFM is not able to process locked files and throws the following error:

Log File:
Managed Files Could Not Process Locked File: \\Server\D$\Path\To\File\file.xls Job Name: JobName Profile Name: ProfileName.snc

PSError Log:
EOFM Error - 710 - Error syncing volume. Try Rebooting System and/or search the help file for 'EOFM Arguments' (Incorrect function) [ Drive D ]

Manual Driver Test Result (See Image):
>>> *** ERROR 1 *** Incorrect function.
Applies To:
Product(s): PeerSync with EOFM
Version(s): All

Solution:
  • Make sure that you have restarted your system after you installed PeerSync with the EOFM driver
  • Check that the OfmLVDrv.sys driver is loaded by looking in msinfo32 or the Registry
  • If the driver is loaded, then the order in which the EOFM driver loads may not be correct. This is specified by a setting in the Registry. The Start value should be 0, indicating that the driver needs to load before any other services become loaded on reboot. The Start value on your system may not be 0. Setting it to 0 should resolve the issue:
  1. Go to Start > Run > type Regedit > OK
  2. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\OfmLvDrv]
  3. Double-click on the "Start" entry
  4. In the "Value data" field, replace "x" with "0" where “x” represents the value on your system
  5. Hit OK
  6. Close the Registry Editor
  7. Restart the system
