We have several remote branch office servers replicating data to a central server. We have job starting at 22:00 on weekdays.
Blackout period defined from 8:00-21:00

The problem is that when the connection is broken in the middle of a scan, and then connection is re-established,
the job continues copying files in the retry list, but scan is not restarted...

in the log you can see connection is broken at 4:30:16, and the restablished at 4:31:
