I currently have peersync server edition installed on two load balanced 2003 web servers. The web servers are running a DNN site. The setup for peersync is to do real time bi-directional replication between the two servers. I have excluded any cache directories from IIS for the replication. I have set the file options to only sync files that are closed (originally it was set to sync files that were partially open.) I have peersync set to also keep copies of changes and deletions in alternate directories outside of the webroot. Since installing I have been experiencing some high processor spikes on our servers. I was wondering if anyone has used peersync to replicate IIS this way and if they have encountered problems like this in their setup.

Thanks

ctrlmaxdel,

When exactly do the CPU spikes occur? What percentage of CPU is the PeerSync.exe process show in the Task Manager during the CPU spikes? What version of PeerSync are you running (i.e. 7.3.4.1)? Is the issue occurring on both servers? Are you running any other Peer applications such as PeerLock on these servers?

Please check that you are running the latest (7.3.4.1) uncompressed versions of PeerSync on both severs. To do so, right-click on the PeerSync.exe file, select Properties, then look in the Version tab for the complete version.

Sincerely,
