My Sync slowed and I found my way to the Performance tab. I am clueless as to what the choices are BUT I noticed that the default on all my profiles was 256 and 256 at each end of the slider.
The profile that slowed showed the right side at 128. I don't remember doing anything to cause this.
I tried the restore default but it did nothing.
I tried moving the slider - the 256 128 stayed the same and the "set to" box changed.
Fortunately when I closed Peer Sync and reopened it it was back to the initial setting.
What is this (I know what buffers are and what they do) and why did it happen?
For maximum speed on a sync what should my settings be?
Why did the right 256 change to 128 everytime I clicked on the slider even if I didn't move the slider?
How could I have reset it to the 256?

Pat,
The maximum Read/Write Buffer Size allowed in a Workstation version of PeerSync is 128 KB and a minimum of 256 Bytes. Is the Read/Write Buffer Size Slider changing to 256 Bytes? Be sure you save and restart PeerSync for your changes to take affect.
Please send us your .SNC Profile to support@peersoftware.com if the problem persists.
Sincerely,
