I want to purchase peersync to run a replication scenario between three machines - all of which are web servers.
My plan was to install peersync on the first machine, and then have this replicate out to the remaining two - All three machines are Windows 2003 Std.

My question is:-

Is it possible to have a fully meshed environment whereby all machines can replicate to each other and if so, would i need to buy a server license for each webserver, or can i rely on the remote replication agents alone? Hence buy one license for the first machine and two remote connection agents? Is this possible?

Appatel4000,

To achieve a fully meshed environment where each server replicates to the other two in real-time mode you would need to purchase a PeerSync Server license for each webserver. Each PeerSync instance would then contain two Jobs configured to do real-time bidirectional synchronization.

Purchasing one PeerSync Server license with two Additional Remote Connection licenses will only allow for scheduled bi-directional synchronization between the servers. Real-time replication will be possible only on the server on which PeerSync is running.

I recommend you consider looking at our Collaboration Package which offers suggested options for collaboration environments such as Multi-Threading, ByteReplicator, and PeerLock at a discount.

You may download a 15-day fully functional trial version of this package at the following link: http://www.peersoftw...al_download.asp

Please contact us if you have any questions or need assistance with your trial configuration.
